About Our Honorees

Residents of Manhasset since 1973, Len & Gerry have long been supporters of the spiritual heritage and Jesuit ministry at St. Ignatius Retreat House. They are active parishioners of St. Mary's Parish and are involved with St. Christopher-Ottilie Home for children and St. Francis Hospital.

Len retired as Chairman of the Board and President of Genovese Drug Stores, Inc, in 1999. He is past Chairman of the Nat’l Assoc. of Chain Drug Stores and has served on the Board of Directors of Kellwood Company, The National Center for Disability Services, Roslyn Savings Bank, and currently serves on the Board of the Stephan Co.

Gerry facilitates a small Christian community of young women, works in social outreach and adult formation, and is a co-trustee for the Caring Hands Foundation serving the poor in India.

Len and Gerry have four married children, Leonard, John, Gerald, Mary, and fifteen grandchildren all residing in the Huntington/Woodbury area.
