Yoga at Inisfada with Karyn Van Name, certified yoga instructor.
Mondays: Level 1-2 : 5:30-7:00pm; Level 3: 7:15-8:45pm Tuesdays: Level 2: 4:00-5:30pm; Level 1-2: 5:45-7:15 Wednesdays: Level 2: 9:30-11:00am Level 1-2: 11:15am-12:45pm Thursdays: Restorative: 5:15 – 6:45pm Level 2: 7:00-8:30pm. See class descriptions below.
8 Class Yoga series = $136 (no walk-ins please) Take 2 more classes per week and receive a $17 savings per class series. A $60 deposit due for each series.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Restorative: A slow-paced practice of gentle yoga postures with focus on coordinating breath and movement. One third of the class is dedicated to restorative yoga and meditation. Need to be able to kneel on a folded blanket on the floor and get up and down off the floor by yourself. Newcomers welcome.
Level 1-2: A moderately paced practice of yoga postures with focus on breath and alignment. Modified sun salutations are practiced. Newcomers welcome.
Level 2: Same as level 1-2 with longer holdings of the poses and sun salutations. This class is not for newcomers.
Level 3: A faster-paced class for experienced practitioners with good understanding of a wide range of yoga postures. Postures will be held for a longer duration with focus on refining alignment. Sun salutations are practiced.
Registration for Class Series: Registration form and Non-Refundable Deposit of $60 or Full Payment is required to hold your space in class. Make Ups and Cancelled Classes: Registered Students are entitled to take a make up for missed classes by the end of the session. If weather causes a need to cancel class, this miss can be taken as a make up. If Karyn or the Retreat House cancels class for reasons other than weather, then it will be added on at the end of the session. Single Classes: Single classes can be taken by a registered student during the session. Single Class is $20 per class. Class Agreement: Each yoga practioner agrees to: 1. Not wear heavy fragrances or perfumes to class 2. Turn off all cell. phones 3. Use a sticky mat, practice barefoot, wear non-binding clothing & practice with an empty stomach.
Karyn has been a student of yoga since 1997 and has been teaching since 2000. She holds certifications in Kripalu Yoga and Hatha Yoga – Anusara Inspired with Todd Norian. In addition, she holds certifications in Chakra Yoga, Yoga Therapy and as a Reiki Master. Karyn continues to study Anusara Yoga with a variety of certified senior teachers. Having studied Anusara Yoga Therapeutics with Founder, John Friend, she brings a more comprehensive knowledge of yoga as therapy and a deeper understanding of body-mind healing to her work with clients. She is devoted to her clients with her compassionate heart and provides a safe, sacred space for them to explore and embrace themselves more fully.
