Come take in the beauty and serenity of Inisfada during our Christmas masses. Everyone is welcome on Saturday, December 24, to our Christmas Vigil Mass at 4pm or 7pm or to our Christmas Day Mass at 10am.
50th Anniversary Celebration
Saturday Evening, January 12, 2013 ~ In Gratitude and Thanksgiving for “Inisfada” and the Graces it has given us as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of St. Ignatius Jesuit Retreat House! The evening will begin with a 7pm Liturgy followed by a cocktail reception. $75pp Call 516-621-8300 x15 for reservations.
The Retreat House will reopen on Monday, November 12th!!!
We hope you are all well and you have all been in our our thoughts and prayers. The Retreat House did not sustain any extensive damage but due to power outages and clean-up we have been unable to reopen. All regular programs will resume as of Monday, November 12th! Men’s Winter Weekend
Friday, January 4- Sunday, January 6: Men’s Winter Retreat presented by Fr. Ed Salmon, SJ Title of retreat: TBA
Offering: $300 per person for private room; $250pp semi-private. Deposit: $ 100 non-refundable. This retreat begins with a 5pm check-in followed by 6pm dinner. Couples Hoping for Children
Tuesday, November 13 7:30pm-9pm: A monthly gathering for couples considering parenthood. Together couples will explore where God is in the waiting, struggles, disappointments and joys of the journey towards parenthood. Presenters: Vince Buzzeo and Mary Cirronella. Pre-registration requested.$20per couple (walk-ins $30per couple). Future Dates: Dec. 18, Jan. 22, Feb. 12, March 12, April 9.
Deepening the Graces
Monday, November 19 1:30 – 3:30 Facilitated by Sr. Mary McConnell, CSJ. For those who have made the Spiritual Exercises either in the form of every day life (19th Annotation) or that of the 30-Day Retreat (20th Annotation). Charis Ministry Overnight Retreat for Young Adults
Saturday, October 13 – Sunday, October 14: This retreat is a peer-led Ignatian retreat for young adults (ages 21-39) who are seeking to deepen their relationship with God. A wonderful opportunity to meet new friends, share stories, seek spiritual direction and take time for silent reflection. Presenters: Charis Ministry Team. $225pp-private suite/private bath; $175pp private room/shared bath; $125pp semi-private room/shared bath.
Commemorative Musical Reflection Honoring Those Lost on 9/11
Tuesday, September 11 at 8pm. Join us for this musical reflection by Major Treble, an all women’s choir from Molloy College, under the direction of Diane Bayen Griffin honoring those lost on September 11. Full Moon Labyrinth Walk
Sunday, September 30 ~ 7pm – 9pm ~ Facilitated by Marie Bannister.
Come walk the Labyrinth here at Inisfada under a full moon. Walking a labyrinth is a meditation with unexpected outcomes. The experience quiets one, leaving a seeker open to Spirit. A person can walk the labyrinth looking for the answer to a question or wanting to deepen one’s relationship with God. Walking a labyrinth at full moon intensifies the experience. It is an opportunity to further deepen the search of awareness. Those choosing to walk during the full moon would be alerted to the possibility of an intense experience. This evening will begin with an introduction to labyrinths and how to walk one, followed by walking the candle-lit labyrinth. Please bring your own flashlight. After the walk, participants may gather to share their experiences.

Marie Bannister is a Spiritual Director and Associate Staff member at St. Ignatius Retreat House. She leads weekend retreats and retreat days as well as acting as a Prayer Minister or Host on weekends. She is involved in ISEL (Ignatian Spirituality in Everyday Life) and lay formation at the Church of St. Francis Xavier in Manhattan and offers Spiritual Direction. Marie received an MA in Spirituality and Spiritual Direction from Fordham University and belongs to the Jesuit Collaborative.
