Men’s Palm Sunday Retreat

March 26-28. “The Lenten/Easter Journey with Jesus to the New Jerusalem”  presented by Fr. Peter Schineller. Born in 1939, Father Peter entered the Society of Jesus after graduating from Regis High School in 1957. Ordained a Jesuit priest in 1970, he completed his Ph.D. in theology from the University of Chicago in 1975 and later taught theology at the Jesuit School of Theology in Chicago. In 1981, Fr. Schineller accepted an invitation to teach at the Catholic Institute of West Africa in Port Hartcourt, Nigeria, where he was first Dean and a professor of theology. From 1986-89 he taught theology at Weston Jesuit School of Theology Cambridge, Mass. Afterwards he returned to Africa where, from 1989-98, he served as regional superior of the Jesuits of Nigeria/Ghana.  In 2003 Fr. Schinneller was appointed head librarian and professor of theology at Hekima College, Nairobi, Kenya. In 2005 he returned to Nigeria to be President of Loyola Jesuit College, in Abuja, Nigeria, where he remained until joining America Magazine’s staff in January 2008. Today Fr. Schineller is an Associate Editor at America Magazine. The retreat will begin  at 6:30pm with a conversational dinner on Friday atand will end with 11:15am Mass followed by a conversational lunch on Sunday.
