Commemorative Musical Reflection Honoring Those Lost on 9/11

Thursday, September 9 at 8pm. Join us for this musical reflection by Major Treble, an all women’s choir from Molloy College, under the direction of  Diane Bayen Griffin honoring  those lost on September 11.  All are invited to attend. Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius

Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius: 19th Annotation Retreat. September 23, January 13 &  May 26: Communal Gatherings from7pm – 9:15pm.  This program is designed for those who cannot get away for the 30-day directed retreat. It runs from October to May and allows you to experience the full Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola without having to leave your job or other responsibilities. It requires a daily commitment to prayer and meeting once a week whenever mutually convenient with a spiritual director. Elizabeth Moss Prayer Shawl Ministry

Starting Monday September 20, 2010  from 10am – 12pm and continuing every second Monday of the month to May. Facilitator: Vita Scorcia.  Those who knit, crochet, quilt or sew are invited to work together and pray for one another and for the recipients of the handicrafts. Women at the Well

Starting October 5, 2010, 7:30-9:30pm and continuing the first Tuesday of the month until May 2011. Evenings of companionship, prayer and reflection for women. Conducted by Jean Lynch a longtime member of the staff at The Mary Louis Academy. Mrs. Lynch holds a MA in Systematic Theology from St. John’s University and an advanced degree in Spirituality from Immaculate Conception Seminary. $15pp per session. The Gift of Years

Monday, September 13. Seniors  meet bi-monthly. Thanks to a grant from the Greentree Foundation through the Manhasset Community Fund, St. Ignatius will be offering this program for Seniors aged 62 and over that will run twice a month from September 2010 to June 2011, from 9am-1pm. Presentations will be given by the Inisfada Ministerial Staff and will be based on the book The Gift of Years: Growing Old Gracefully  by Sr. Joan Chittister. The book will be for sale at the St. Ignatius Book Store. Light breakfast, fellowship, reflection, group sharing and lunch are all included.
