A Recovery Retreat for Men ~ “Recovering the Narrative of Your Life”

Friday, May 18 – Sunday, May 20, 2012     Presenter: Fr. Michael Simone, SJ    Weekend topic - ”Recovering the Narrative of Your Life”.           Father Michael Simone, S.J., worked in construction and food service before joining the Jesuits in 1997. After work and study in Detroit, Chicago, Toledo, and Boston, he was ordained a priest and served at St. Leonard’s Parish in Boston’s North End. He currently lives in Baltimore while he continues his studies and works as a chaplain for the Veterans’ Hospital in Perry Point, Md. Price:  $270pp private room, $220pp semi-private, $200pp commuter. Limited number of suites (private bedroom with private bath) available at additional charge. Non-refundable $100 deposit is required. The retreat begins with 5pm check-in (all retreatants are invited to join us for our 4pm Liturgy prior to check-in). BIOGRAPHIES OF PRESENTERS:

Jim Bowler, SJ: Facilitator of Catholic and Jesuit Mission and Identity at Fairfield University in Connecticut, Jim formerly served on the staff at Loyola House in Guelph. Ontario, Canada. For more than fifteen years he has incorporated psycho-spiritual approach to Ignatian Spirituality in his ministry of direction, supervision and training. He has participated in programs at the C.G. Jung Institutes in Zurich and Boston as well as enjoying a fellowship at the Center for Research in Faith and Moral Development at the Candler School of Theology.

Karen M. Doyle, SSJ:  Presently on staff at St. Ignatius Retreat House in Manhasset, NY where she is the Director of Ministerial Services, Sr. Karen has been a spiritual director and supervisor for 24 years. She is steeped in Ignatian Spirituality. Sr. Karen directs Internship Practicum Programs for 30 day retreats, 8 day retreats, spiritual direction, and supervision. She has conducted ongoing formation programs for spiritual directors in Taiwan, the Philippines, Denmark and Canada.

Jean Lynch:  A Spiritual Director who has an MA in Theology from St. John’s University and an advanced Certificate in Spirituality from the Huntington Seminar. A facilitator of retreats and workshops designed to provide healing through prayer and reflection, she is certified in Inner Healing Prayer and Mandala Assessment through the National Institute of Inner Healing. A wife, mother, grandmother and teacher of religion for many years, Jean created and has been facilitating the God Gives Us Songs in Our Sleep Program for over fifteen years.
