The LI Chapter of the Ignatian Volunteer Corps is recruiting for 2012 -13 -

Meetings: Wednesday,  June 6   10:45-11:45 at St.Ignatius Jesuit Retreat House   251 Searingtown Rd., Manhasset, NY 11030

The Ignatian Volunteer Corps  is an opportunity for retired men and women to offer ther skills, wisdom and life experience in direct service to those who are economically poor and marginalized in our local community. In return for a commitmnet of 2 days a week at a school or non-profit agency, the IVC provides guidance for personal reflection and prayerful conversation with fellow IVC volunteers through a monthly meeting. Easter Triduum Retreat (Silent)

Thursday, March 28 – Sunday, March 31. Presented by the St. Ignatius Retreat House Staff. Experience the beauty of the Sacred Liturgies in this Holy Space.  This retreat begins with a conversational Seder supper at 6:00pm on Holy Thursday, followed by silence and prayerful presentations until the reception after Easter Vigil. Ends Easter morning with an Emmaeus Walk and breakfast. There will also be the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Silence will be embraced throughout the weekend. Holy Ground ~ A Day of Reflection with Monica Brown

Sunday, April 22      1pm – 4pm     Come join Monica Brown as she presents Holy Ground ~ A Day of Reflection. Through the blending and weaving of music with scripture, imagery and ritual, this program provides participants with an oppportunity to reflect on their journey in the awaeness of the awesome mystery of the New Universe Story.
