Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius: 19th Annotation Retreat. September 23, January 13 & May 26: Communal Gatherings from7pm – 9:15pm. This program is designed for those who cannot get away for the 30-day directed retreat. It runs from October to May and allows you to experience the full Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola without having to leave your job or other responsibilities. It requires a daily commitment to prayer and meeting once a week whenever mutually convenient with a spiritual director. This wonderful pilgrimage to Spain begins November 1st, 2010 arriving back in New York on November 10th. Visit such places as Manresa, Loyola, Pamplona and spend a day at nearby Lourdes. You will feel the sacredness of these very special places that not only brought Ignatius to conversion but were also the inspiration for his writing of the Spiritual Exercises, which Pope Benedict XVI has called “a true gift to the Church”.

Given the tough economic climate that we are experiencing, St Ignatius Jesuit Retreat House has reconsidered the ticket price for the Fall Gala. The new ticket price will be $200 per person. Both honoree couples would be disappointed to think that there were some who could not attend due to the price of the ticket. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 Home for the holidays?
You are invited to tour five gracious homes (on two of Manhasset’s most prestigious streets) that will be decorated for the holiday season on November 30th. The tour will begin at 1 PM and end at 4 PM. Light refreshments will be provided when you pick up your tour pass and map at St. Ignatius beginning at 1 PM on the day of the tour. Robert Kennedy, S.J., Roshi, is a Jesuit priest and Zen teacher in the White Plum lineage. He studied with Yamada Roshi in Kamakura, Japan, with Maezumi Roshi in Los Angeles, and with Glassman Roshi in New York. Glassman Roshi installed Kennedy as sensei in 1991 and conferred Inka (his final seal of approval) in 1997, making him a roshi (master). Kennedy Roshi is the author of Zen Gifts to Christians and Zen Spirit, Christian Spirit.

God takes you as you come. Sr. Thomas will bring you to a realization that God loves you as you are and how, through the Psalms, God meets you in prayer.
Sr. Thomas is a spiritual director and has been a staff associate at St. Ignatius since 2003. She has been a Good Shepherd sister for 49 years and will be celebrating her jubilee next year.
